Mer Sweden is focused on electric charging points and is working towards zero carbon emissions from vehicle traffic in our country.
But it's more than vehicles traveling around the country. Invoices do too. By digitizing that flow, the climate footprint is minimized. Mer Sweden has taken this into account. The work for sustainable development includes a strong focus on electronic invoices. These efforts are worth rewarding and the company is therefore a well-deserved winner of the Inexchange Environmental Award for 2024.
Inexchange is focused on business communication and since its inception in 2008 has been fully committed to simplifying the use of e-invoices. As part of its ambition to highlight the benefits of e-invoicing, Inexchange established the Inexchange Environmental Award in 2014. The award goes to a customer or partner who actively promotes environmentally friendly solutions.
The 2024 recipient is Mer Sweden AB, which is part of the Norwegian Statkraft's Mer group. Mer Sweden AB recently received the award at its head office in Helsingborg. The company was represented by CEO Pär Möller, Camilla Brink Schütz, head of shared service center, and Madeleine Sjöberg, operative team leader customer support. Inexchange was represented by Johan Liljeroth, key account manager.
"The award is a recognition that what we are doing is right and that we are taking steps in the right direction in the transition to become as climate neutral as possible", says Pär Möller.
Pär is particularly pleased that a less high-profile part of the company's passion for sustainability - which is the term he prefers - is now receiving due recognition. Quite naturally, it is the focus on supplying electric vehicles with renewable electricity and the goal of reaching Net Zero (net zero emissions) by 2033 that is most often put at the center.
"But just because it's the most visible doesn't tell the whole story. Sustainability is the primary success factor in everything we do. From selling electricity through our chargers to digitizing invoices and everything in between. Each piece of the puzzle takes us in the direction we want. In this case, the work on e-invoices. It's important for our overall strategy that the story of us is filled with content about more green efforts."
This is the motivation for Mer Sweden receiving the Environmental Award 2024:
"As a leading charging operator for electric cars in Sweden, Mer Sweden ensures that we become a climate-smarter country. But this traveling without making an environmental footprint does not stop within the own business concept. Even invoices can travel in an environmentally friendly way. The company's investment in digitizing the invoice flow has drastically reduced the incidence of paper. Mer Sweden's customers are confident that their choices are winning choices for a greener future."
