Fairs create valuable contact areas and exciting meetings.
It is proven and therefore it is common for the country's academic universities to organize days where students and business radiate together.
In Östersund, the event is called Mötesplats Campus and it was held last Thursday. InExchange participated as an exhibitor and had the opportunity to talk about jobs and the future with many fair visitors.
The place that InExchange had been directed to inside Mid Sweden University in Östersund (MIUN) was manned by Fredrik Hanses, Business Controller, and Isak Norin, Scanning Operator. The duo had time to talk to a number of passers-by during the three hours of the fair.
Fredrik spoke for both himself and Isak when he stated afterwards:
- The overall impression is that this was very positive. It was really fun to meet enthusiastic students who are ready to start their professional careers in earnest. Both Isak and I felt that the response we received was very energizing. Just being there made you happy.
Mötesplats Campus is a job fair organized in collaboration between Mid Sweden University, Östersund Municipality and Östersund Student Union. The event can be described as very broad. MIUN is profiled on programs for future social workers and electrical engineers, but there are also programs for those who, for example, want to become economists, personnel scientists and software developers.
The opportunity to find future employees at the fair was thus good.
- Many were curious about our company and wanted to know more. There were good meetings and good dialog, I would say. Again: the lasting picture of the day was very positive, summarized Fredrik Hanses.
In other words, the value of being included is great. For InExchange in Östersund, which was the same as Scancloud before it was merged at the end of last year, this was the debut at Mötesplats Campus. The office in Skövde, on the other hand, has been an exhibitor for a number of years at the Career Fair Framtid, which is the University of Skövde's equivalent.
Now that InExchange has the privilege of also being established in Östersund, and thus has another front to the labor market, it opens up new exciting perspectives. Of course, these are opportunities that the company wants to take advantage of.
The direct contact with the students at MIUN is a good example.
From Thursday's experience, Fredrik Hanses and Isak Norin definitely believe in a continuation.
- As Scancloud, we didn't take much space when it came to marketing. Some people knew about us. Perhaps they had a friend who worked at our scanning company or similar. But for the masses, we were probably relatively unknown, Fredrik said honestly, when the fair was over, and emphasized how this showcase can be an important part of the future-oriented starting point that InExchange has taken:
- It's great fun to meet students in this way and take up a lot of space to showcase our strong brand and be visible to the outside world!
