How to send an e-invoice

It is increasingly common for businesses to want to receive or send e-invoices rather than paper or PDF invoices - and there are many advantages to this.

Wise environmental choice

The first, and perhaps most obvious, is that sending invoices electronically is much better for the environment. If more people choose to send and/or receive e-invoices, society will save on both paper and transportation, reducing our collective environmental impact.

Saving time

The other major benefit is that it saves time. Processing an e-invoice is significantly less manual than processing a paper invoice. You avoid the steps of printing, enveloping, stamping and putting the invoice in the mailbox, and the recipient does not have to open, scan, interpret and validate the invoice and then send it to their invoice management system.
If you send an e-invoice, you will also generally get paid faster as the e-invoice is delivered almost directly to the recipient and you do not have to take into account several days of delivery time, which you need to do if you send a paper invoice.

Less risk of errors

Last but not least, you minimize the risk of misinterpretation as the invoice you send from your system, or your service, will be loaded with exactly the same information in the recipient's invoice management system. This eliminates the risk of the information you send in your invoice being misinterpreted and thus also entered incorrectly when it reaches the recipient.
