"We support the right to be oneself"

Inexchange is a partner of Skövde Pride again this year.
It feels natural to stand up for everyone's equal value. This is the primary message of Skövde Pride and Rainbow Week. The event manifests a more open social climate characterized by tolerance and diversity and where every individual is included regardless of faith, ethnicity, sexual orientation and gender identity.
"It's about the right to be yourself and we support that with all our heart," says Jenny Brian, HR Manager at Inexchange.

Inexchange and Pride Skaraborg, the main organizer of the Skövde Pride Festival, have been collaborating ever since this event was established nine years ago. Inexchange is a silver partner and has often been represented in the parade and also combined the official program with its own activities. For example, a preparatory family day at the office under the sign of the rainbow and a sponsor tent on Duke John's Square.
This is how important the commitment is considered to be.
Jenny Brian, HR Manager at Inexchange, is happy to explain why this relationship, and what the festival manifests, is of such central importance to the company.
-We feel that what Pride stands for is also the core values we have at Inexchange. We want to promote openness, acceptance and for everyone to feel respected and included, she emphasizes.

Active work

Any company can come up with these kinds of fancy phrases, but Inexchange really works hard on values, social climate and socializing. Great effort is put into pleasantness and mutual respect. Any signs of exclusion are taken seriously. No one should have to go around with such feelings.
- Of course we want everyone to feel good and enjoy their work. We carry out an employee survey every month (eNPS) and in those measurements, "diversity and inclusion" is one of the three indices we look at in particular, says Jenny Brian and adds:
- It's about being able to be yourself. Which really should be a given. But unfortunately, that's not the case in the world today.

Full rainbow week

The reality is that we live in an age where openness to LGBTQIA+ and human rights is threatened by totalitarian forces. Pride is needed to defend tolerance and diversity. Even at the local level.
"It's a great job that Pride Skaraborg is doing," praises Jenny Brian.
"The fact that the event extends over a whole week is fantastic. Skövde Pride consists of much more than the parade. There are invitations to theater, exhibitions, crafts, concerts and so on. There is something for everyone and that attracts both young and old. At the same time, Jenny believes that the efforts for everyone's equal value should not be isolated to a special rainbow week.
"A week, or a parade, is good in itself, but openness and understanding of our differences is something that should permeate our everyday lives and always be in mind. Treating each other with respect should be reflected in everything we do," she says, putting it in a broader context:
"I feel that this is an attitude that is reflected in many areas. I think about wellness and sustainability. Providing the conditions to, for example, counteract stress and enable greater well-being is also a way of caring for the individual and caring about how everyone feels.
