Bravida awarded by InExchange for its environmental work
Bravida declared at the beginning of last year that it would no longer accept paper invoices. The flow of paper has been radically slowed down.
Bravida will instead receive something else.
Namely the InExchange environmental prize for 2022.
As part of its comprehensive sustainability strategy, Bravida - which is the Nordic region's leading provider of complete solutions in areas such as electricity, ventilation and plumbing in buildings and facilities - has taken steps to minimize the amount of incoming paper and PDF invoices. Bravida enlisted the help of InExchange, a fintech company with a primary focus on electronic invoicing. Together, the companies set up an e-invoicing project that was launched in February last year. Since then, Bravida has made it a requirement that all incoming invoices to them must be electronic, and this applies to all Nordic countries. Customer invoices are also sent as e-invoices as far as possible.
Thanks to this, paper consumption has been drastically reduced.
Which in turn is very positive for the environment.
Digitization journey
The efforts made by Bravida, and the impact it has had, make the company a well-deserved recipient of the InExchange Environmental Award for 2022. The award was presented this week at Bravida's headquarters in Hägersten. The winners were represented by Yasmina Guldlöv, Accounts Receivable Manager, and Kristoffer Hagberg, e-invoice manager, but Bravida's entire Shared Services finance function was present at the presentation and the ceremony ended with a cake party. InExchange was represented by Per Löfving, key account manager.
- We are proud and pleased to receive this award. We work a lot with digitalization and that journey continues. 95% e-invoicing is not the end goal. We will conquer the last percent as well, even if they are the hardest to reach," emphasizes Yasmina.
"It's great to be recognized for the work we have done. In addition to the environmental aspect, it frees up important time when we don't have to deal with a lot of paper. Time we can spend on more important things, Kristoffer adds.
Anders Jonsson, CEO of InExchange, is impressed by Bravida's strong focus on sustainability and is pleased that they have been named the tenth recipient of this traditional award.
- Bravida has worked hard and successfully during the year to convert both incoming and outgoing invoices to e-invoices. This has been done through the joint initiative, called the digitization journey, which is conducted together with InExchange. The environmental value achieved is important to highlight and reward. With its clear objective, Bravida's efforts do not stop at raising awareness. It influences others to work in the same environmentally friendly spirit, says Anders.
Clear environmental objective
Here is the motivation for Bravida receiving the InExchange Environmental Award 2022:
"With strong commitment, Bravida has shown how to come together around a clear environmental goal and achieve real impact. The focus is on 95 percent e-invoicing in all Nordic countries. Bravida has set a firm course and involved customers and suppliers in its project. Words alone are not enough to benefit the environment. Action is needed. Bravida has taken on that job and engaged the community in the effort to create a greener future."
