The service that benefits both companies and the environment
Sweden's largest car importer has been an InExchange customer for seven years.
During these years, Volkswagen Group Sweden has seen the volume of e-invoices grow considerably.
A full 90 percent of the customer invoices that the company sends today are e-invoices. Michel Gulunay, project manager in group accounting, thinks it is great to send invoices with InExchange.
"We couldn't be happier," he says.
Michel Gulunay has had very positive experiences using InExchange as a service base for invoicing. He offers his views in a recent article which can be found among our reference cases collected elsewhere on our website (see link below).
It's clear that e-invoicing has made routines much easier for the finance department at Volkswagen Group Sweden. What used to involve folding paper for two or three days has shrunk to simple actions on the computer screen.
- "We currently have 14 subsystems linked to InExchange. All invoices from these 14 systems are sent via the financial system to InExchange in one and the same format. Because it is so simple and convenient, we have connected as much as possible. There are only two systems left, which I also want to solve, but 14 out of 16 are still good. I'm pretty happy with that," says Michel Gulunay.
Michel's role as project manager includes responsibility for all system integrations that have a connection with the financial system. Of course, everyday life is made easier if the services used run smoothly. In Michel's experience, the InExchange invoicing service is very reliable.
- "Everything works so perfectly," he says with satisfaction, pointing to one specific thing he appreciates:
- "I think about how user-friendly the website is. That alone makes invoicing so easy. It also makes it easy to choose InExchange and recommend the service to others.
Michel Gulunay also highlights the environmental perspective. Volkswagen Group Sweden markets six car brands in our country (Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Audi, SEAT, Skoda, Porsche and Volkswagen Vans) and operates in an industry where environmental impact is the single biggest factor behind the current rapid technological development.
In parallel with this transition, other initiatives are being taken that benefit the environment. The use of electronic invoices is one such example.
- It was not justifiable to have so many paper invoices going out across the country as was the case before. Switching to electronic invoicing was a must. It was an environmental contribution we felt we needed to make," says Michel.
