It is with real passion that Jan Kjellin describes KR System.
According to Jan, it is fervor, will and joy that have made KR System Sweden’s leading retailer of the Pyramid ERP system.
“Working with Pyramid is a bit of a calling for us,” he thinks.
But the enthusiasm is found not only internally. Because for KR System it is also important that their partners feel a strong sense of engagement. Choosing to work with InExchange is therefore only natural. It is a partner with exactly the same spirit.

When Jan Kjellin paints a picture of KR System, a lot of emotions surface.
Jan started around 35 years ago—in the capacity of founder and co-owner—when the company was established as a limited company. Over the years he has taken on all conceivable roles: CEO, project manager, finance manager, seller and so on. He is currently a marketing manager.
But whatever the task, the drive has always come from the heart.
In Jan’s opinion, this also characterizes the company in general. In fact, it was only logical that KR System coin the expression “ERP system happiness”.
“The expression came into being when developing our brand book [brand platform]. All our personnel were interviewed for it. There were many questions: Where are we at? How do you feel about it?How are we as people? We quite quickly worked out that we are enthusiasts.
We are a bit nerdy, but in a good way. We really try to find solutions and help customers,” Jan believes.
- Target-oriented cooperation
In the last sentence Jan describes the guiding principle of the entire business—
namely, offering customers the best conceivable solutions. For us, this is encapsulated in the partnership between KR System and InExchange.
KR System is one of several retailers of Pyramid with which InExchange has an agreement. Thanks to these partnerships, users of the Pyramid ERP system can perform file exports via the digital invoice path that InExchange provides.
This option is really appreciated. Approximately 150 of KR System’s customers have supplemented Pyramid with the invoice service from InExchange. More and more are doing so all the time.
“We partnered with InExchange early on,” explains Jan, who praises the determined attitude that has been on display from the get-go. The engagement, which we have already discussed, was sensed immediately.
“The solution between Pyramid and InExchange didn’t actually exist when we started everything. But we made a few tweaks and got it all working together.
Pyramid is very good at sending files in various directions. That’s why Pyramid is an excellent system to integrate with for different types of suppliers.
It’s not just e-invoice services I’m thinking of in that regard. We also have e-commerce, transport systems and whatever else.”
Jan gets up for a second and sums up:
“Complex solutions and getting connected are things we are good at.”

Looking back, all there is to say is this: there were two innovative companies that found each other and built mutual trust. The foundation was laid in collaboration that took place many years ago.
When asked if there is anything specifically that KR System has appreciated along the way, Jan Kjellin returns to the technology and the work involved in interweaving the system and service.
“Naturally, it was satisfying to accomplish the solutions. As I said, we are dealing with complex things. When challenges arose, it was always possible to resolve them.
We had great support. Particularly during the great ‘boom’ last year when the legal requirement on e-invoicing in the public sector came into force.
Everyone wanted e-invoices to be arranged on the same day,” he explains, and once again he praises the communal attitude:
“There is always a will to find solutions. I think that is very important.”

Jan Kjellin is satisfied with the relationship on the whole. He bears witness to a partnership that both KR System and InExchange benefit from, yet where the customers receive the greatest added value.
“It is the support and introduction that InExchange has focused on. We have also received excellent sales help.
That support is extremely valuable to us. We can’t get good at everything overnight. That’s why it feels safe having a supplier with such a strong sales capacity,” he feels.
The ability to reinforce with additional external skills and resources means that KR System gets on well in a partner role with InExchange.
“The reason why we work with InExchange is that we have the support of a larger organization. We feel that we have the support when it counts in both sales and technology. The problem you sometimes encounter as a retailer is that you are right in the middle when customers call about things we find difficult to resolve ourselves. That’s why it’s important to have a partner at your side that has a large and reliable organization. That’s exactly what InExchange has,” Jan finally emphasizes.
