Several thousand paper invoices are just a memory—thanks to Swedol’s investment in e-invoicing.
“We don’t want to send paper invoices anymore!” The message from Swedol was crystal clear. But doing away with sending paper by road requires that all customers be able to receive invoices electronically.
Swedol initiated a partnership with InExchange to set up thousands of companies as invoice recipients in the InExchange Network, with the goal of ensuring that the entire customer base could receive electronic invoices.
Today they send 12,000 invoices electronically every month.
On August 18 the second annual environmental award was presented by InExchange. This time Swedol brought home the well-deserved award by actively helping thousands of customers to receive invoices electronically instead of on paper.
“We are thrilled to be a good role model for e-invoicing. Even tomorrow we are meeting with another company which will soon be getting started with e-invoicing, and we will tell them about our journey and share our knowledge!” says Anna-Karin, manager of outgoing invoices at Swedol.
InExchange environmental award was first presented in May 2014. The award is given to customers that in one way or another have taken special measures to reduce their own paper consumption and that of others.
